Man who murdered father turns himself to police

After being in the run for a few weeks after killing his father, a young man turned himself over to the police in Lagos.

Nelson Oamen has handed himself to the police after killing his father

Nelson Oamen, the 34-year-old man who reportedly killed his own father and removed his heart two weeks, has resurfaced and handed himself over to operatives of the Lagos State Police Command, after being on the run.

It was reported that Oamen, a known drug addict, had, on Monday, September 21, stabbed his 74-year-old pensioner father, Ehiremen, an indigene of Edo State, to death during a confrontation over money at their Block 272, Abesan Estate, Ipaja area of the state, before ripped his heart out and escaped with it.

But seemingly disturbed by his evil deeds, Oamen decided to come out of hiding and reported himself at the Ipaja Police Division from where he was transferred to the State Department of Criminal Investigation, Yaba, for further investigation.
