"Whitney Houston Wanted Me To Marry My Brother, Nick"

Seems little Houston is ready to face the wild press who criticized her wedding to her adopted brother.

For the first time, Whitney Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina is slamming critics who claim her marriage to her adopted brother, Nick Gordon was wrong and couldn't have been ok with her mother. The new couple announced their marriage on January 9 on Twitter and now says Whitney could have been very proud.

The couple, in a new interview with Extra , are setting the record straight about their 'brother & sister' romance saying, even though both were brought up for 12 years by Whitney [died 2012], Nick, 24, was never officially adopted.Nick told Extra the criticism of their marriage has, 'put a fire in us,' to which Bobbi added, 'It lit a fire up under our ass and we went hauling.' The new hubby explained that, 'The critics can say whatever they want to say… it's like we have a force field and that s***'s just bouncing off of it.' He then added, 'Me calling [Whitney] mom, this where everybody gets the …We were young. Krissy looked at me as an older brother, and I looked at her as a little sister.'

Nick continued, "She [Whitney] just treated me like she gave birth to me. She treated me like a son. Excuse me for saying this… she treated me better than my birth mother. I owe everything to her."

Big question is, why did their 'romance' strengthen only when the legend passed in 2012? But the couple told Extra that it was something she would have wanted.

'She made me promise several times to look after Krissy,' Nick said. 'And, Mom, I will never ever, ever break that promise.' Again what exactly does Whitney’s take care of her really mean? Bobbi agreed: 'She wanted this. This is something she wanted to see.'

The two also knocked down rumours that Whitney's mother Cissy Houston disapproves of their marriage, which they announced on Twitter on January 9.

Bobbi Kristina stated, 'She told both of us that she loved us very, very, very much, and Nick came up and he said "Grandma, I want to marry her. Is it okay? I need your blessing to do this, if I don’t have your blessing I won’t feel right," and she looked at him and she smiled. 'She smiled very wide and said, "Yes, son, you have my blessing."

Well, just because we weren't present when Grandma Houston said that, we would agree this is still a speculated fact! But, how about her dad? Did Bobby Brown also say 'yes' to this allegedly shocking family union?

Bobbi said, 'We [bobby Brown & I] have a relationship. It's a good one right now. At a point in time, we didn't even have that… I love my father more than anything.'
