Would You Reject Your Mother If You Are Told She Is A Witch?

Nigerian born Togolese international striker, Emmanuel Adebayor, is locked in a messy battle with his own mother over an allegation that she is a witch and has been withholding his progress.

According to family members who cannot fathom out how someone who has been exposed to the western culture should still have the mentality of the African man, and fall for such a belief that his own blood mother could be against him.

The family reveal that for over four years now, the Tottenham Football Club of England attacker has abandoned his mother and other close relatives, chased her out of his mansion in Lome, as well as vowing not to have anything to do with her because it was revealed to him that she is the one hindering his progress and the reason he has not progressed in his career after playing for the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City and Real Madrid.

The poor mother has been begging him to have a rethink, saying she has always prayed for him to succeed and told of how much she suffered and fasted for him to be a success.

The prevalent issue of some prophets or pastors revealing that one's mother or other relatives are witches, have been on the front burner in Nigeria and indeed, Africa, for so long, sometimes pitting children against parents, and other family members.

The sad thing is that even with the education and exposure of most people, they still believe the existence of witches or people blocking their progress in life.
