Who is to be blamed for Nigerians' involvement in crimes?

The involvement of Nigerians in crime has been blamed on the government by many. Others seem to blame the individuals, poverty, greed, society and other vices. But who do you put this blame on?

Who is to be blamed for crimes committed by Nigerians?

The execution of four Nigerians in Indonesia for drug trafficking has raised a lot of questions as to who should be blamed for the involvement of Nigerians in crimes.

Aside the four executed, according to Hon. Abike Dabiri, the Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on the Diaspora Affairs, there are still hundreds of Nigerians awaiting execution in that country.

Every other day, there are news of Nigerian citizens caught for various crimes like kidnapping, Internet fraud, armed robbery, rape, murder and other forms of dangerous crimes.

Many are quick to lay the blame on the government of the day, stating that bad leadership, lack of employment opportunities, poverty and momentous corruption by government officials lead many youths into crime.
