Do you support death sentence for corrupt government officials?

Should corrupt government officials be sentenced to death?

Should corrupt officials be killed?

Labour unions in the country like the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), Trade Union Council (TUC), and other civil society groups have called on the National Assembly to, as a matter of urgency, enact a law that will make corruption and looting of public funds by government officials an offence punishable by death as practiced in some communist countries like China.

In a joint press conference addressed by the NLC President, Ayuba Wabba and the TUC President, Bobboi Kaigama, they called on President Muhammadu Buhari to deal decisively with looters as this will serve as a deterrent to other government officials who would want to dip their hands in government coffers.

But many Nigerians, especially top government functionaries, have kicked against the demands as being out of place and cannot work in a place like Nigeria.

Others have however, advocated for a long prison term as well as confiscating any ill gotten wealth from the offenders.
