A High Court sitting Jigawa State, has sentenced one Sani Isa Dogo to 15 years in jail for raping a nine-year-old girl in Zarena village of Birnin Kudu Local Government Area, reports Daily Trust.

A 25-year-old man who raped a 9-year-old girl has been sentenced to 15 years in jail.
A rapist has been sentenced to jail
The sentence was handed down by the president of the court, Justice Ubali Ahmad Taura, after the accused pleaded guilty to the effect that he actually had carnal knowledge of the minor sometime last year in their village.
Five witnesses from his village also appeared for the state and testified to the fact that 25-year-old Dogo was nabbed in the very act of raping the girl.
