11 Nigerians reportedly deported over criminal acts

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the deportees arrived Nigeria on Friday, June 24, 2016.

This news comes on the heels of the deportation of 41 Nigerians from the United States for similar reasons, 48 hours earlier.

The reports go on to reveal that the deportees, made up of 10 males and one female, arrived at the Hajj Camp area of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos at about 7:10pm.

The deportees were reportedly received by officers of the Nigerian Immigration Service, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and the Lagos Airport Police Command.

Spokesperson for the command, DSP Joseph Alabi, confirmed the news of the deportation to NAN, adding that they were being punished for committing immigration-related offences and other criminal acts in their host country.
