Matthew Brittan reportedly stepped in front of an oncoming train a day after the news of his "liaison" with a fellow pupil became common knowledge at his school.
Avon Coroner's Court heard that Brittan's relations with a female student a day prior to the day he committed suicide, had been exposed at Worle Community School.
Brittan reportedly left his bicycle locked up close to the train tracks before stepping into the path of the of the 4.07pm Taunton to Cardiff Great Western passenger service on a crossing close to his home in Weston-super-Mare, north Somerset.
Daily Mail reports that the teen died instantly from multiple injuries on the fateful day, February, 1, 2016.
Despite the fact that the train driver had repeatedly honked the horn of the train before applying emergency brakes, he had been unable to stop in time to save Britan's life.
