Child trafficking gang nabbed after selling baby for N200k

The confessions of the arrested suspect help the police in recovering both babies, one of the baby have since been reunited with her mother Fauziya Adamu.

According to the Public Relation Officer, DSP Haruna Mohammed, the suspects were captured after Mohammed who hails from Plateau sold a 17-month-old baby to a woman from Imo State at the cost of N200,000.

The female suspect who’s identity wasn’t disclosed also sold a 14-month-old-baby to another woman, who hailed from Benue, at the cost of N80,000.

The confessions of the arrested suspect help the police in recovering both babies, one of the baby have since been reunited with her mother Fauziya Adamu while investigations are still going on to locate the mother of the other baby.

The suspects would be charged to court for prosecution.
