The prosecutor, Dalhatu Zannah told the court that Patience Olinya of Gwagwa village Abuja, reported the case at Life Camp Police Station on May 3.
Zannah told the court that the convict committed the offence on the same date at about 5.30 p.m., along Jabi Airport Junction.
He said the handbag contained the complainant’s cell phone, Bible and other valuable items.
Zannah said the complainant raised an alarm and the convict was apprehended with all the items in the bag intact.
The prosecutor said that during police investigation and interrogation, the convict admitted to have committed the offence.
Zannah said the offence contravened Section 95 of the Penal Code.
