3 Catholic catechists arraigned for arms possession

Three catechists have been docked for illegal possession of firearms, forceful entry and unlawful damages.

The three suspects arraigned were Daniel Nwoye, Agbo Peter and Patrick Ajuluchukwu while a suspected accomplice identified as Solomon Igboji, is reported to still be at large.

Punch reports that other charges levelled against the trio include forceful entry and unlawful damages.

The prosecutor said that the offences contravened Section 115 of the Criminal Code.

Punch reports that the case had to do with an attack on an 80-year-old widow, Mrs Juliana Onuorah, and Lady Patricia Onuorah.

The case which was presided by Justice Arinze Akabuo, was adjourned until November 17,  for the hearing of the bail applications of the suspects.
