Father poisons 7-yr-old son to death in Benue

A wicked father is currently telling the Benue State police the reason behind his poisoning his son to death.

A wicked father, a civil servant with the Benue State Water Board, Sunday Ityokyaa, has been arrested by the state Police Command for allegedly poisoning his seven-year-old son to death.

The incident which happened in the Vandeikya local government area of the state, has thrown residents into confusion and mourning with many wondering what could have come over him to murder his first child so mindlessly.

It was gathered that Ityokyaa had taken his son to a drinking joint in their neighbourhood where he committed the act in connivance with the owner of the place.

He was said to have forcefully fed the boy a mixture of kerosene and insecticide and the following day, the nursery two pupil died.

The boy's mother, Mnena, said she was shocked at the action of her husband and is yet to ascertain the reason behind his inhuman act.
