Justice is served

A Kuwaiti man who paraded himself as a policeman and raped a female tourist he had 'arrested', will be executed after a court of appeals sentenced him to death for the crime, reports Emirate247.

The court heard that the man whose identity was not revealed, had held a gun to the Philippines woman's head after allegedly arresting her and raped her in an isolated place outside the capital Kuwait City, before leaving her in a bad condition.

A lower court had earlier sentenced the man to life in jail, prompting him and the prosecutor to appeal but instead, he got the death sentence.

Rape, armed robbery, drug trafficking and other violent crimes in Kuwait is punishable by death.
