Auto crash on Ibadan-Lagos expressway leaves one dead

One person has been confirmed dead and four others injured in an auto crash.

The accident reportedly involved a blue Toyota bus, with number plate, KTP 610 XA, a Honda CRV, with number plate, KJA 30 AE and a Toyota Jeep, with number plate EKY 685, Punch Metro reports.

According to the Corps Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, Ogun State, Mr. Clement Oladele, the accident which occurred at about 6pm on Monday, September 28, was caused by careless driving.

He said, “The injured victims were taken to the Lagos State Emergency Centre at the toll gate area in Ojota, and the vehicles towed out of the road to free the traffic. The dead has been deposited in a mortuary."

FRSC has continually warned about safety precautions on the highways and by ways to reduce the number of fatalities that occur on a daily basis.
