'My 95-yr-old grand mother begged me for sex'- 32-yr-old man

A man who raped his grand mother has now been arrested and charged.

Why would a rape his aged grand mother?

A 32 year-old Zimbabwe man accused and charged with raping his 95-year-old grandmother, left the court presided by speechless when he confessed that it was the aged woman who actually proposed love for him and begged him for sex.

The man from a village called Mbizha in Jambezi, told the Hwange regional magistrate Dambudzo Malunga:

"Your worship, I did not rape my grandmother but she asked me to have sexual intercourse with her after proposing love to me saying that she had been alone for a long time following the death of my grandfather.

When I refused, she literally begged me, saying she felt she could still perform like a young woman regardless of her age. I was left with no choice but to help her out seeing that she really wanted sex."

The court had heard that the man had, between June 1 and July 5, went to his grandmother's hut in the dead of night and forcefully had sexual intercourse with her while she was sleeping.

After the act, he fled the scene and in the morning, the grandmother informed her younger sister of the rape but did not reveal the identity of the perpetrator.

Sometime during the same month, the grandson raped the old woman again but this time around, she yelled for help, resulting in her grandson fleeing into the darkness.

Not yet done, he pounced again at around midnight at another date but this time, dragged his grandmother into a nearby bush where he stripped her naked and raped her. He threatened to kill her if she told anyone of the rape before leaving her to spend the whole night in the bush.

When villagers found her the next morning, she lied that she had got lost fearing that if she revealed what had transpired her grandson would fulfill his threats.

His cup became full when he became bold and told his grandmother he would be coming to have sex with her again and the woman immediately sought refuge at her sister's house after he had left, telling the sister she was avoiding someone who was troubling her.

The sister had to involve the village head who cajoled her to divulge the identity of the rapist and he was apprehended and handed over to the police.
