Abducted Girls: Nigerians Harangue FG On Twitter

Even as government steps up its efforts to rescue the school girls abducted by suspected Boko Haram gunmen, Nigerians have take  to Twitter to debunk reports that some of them have been rescued.

On Wednesday, Borno State Governor Kashim Shettima, announced an offer of N50 million to anyone who provides useful information which leads to the rescue of the abducted students.

“I want to make a pledge of N50 million for any information—relevant, credible information that will lead to the rescue of these innocent girls,” he said.

But on Thursday, there were several reports that the Nigerian Army lied in its claims about the abducted, most of whom were teenagers.

Following the reports, Nigerians took to Twitter to express their doubts.
