Emeka Ike Takes A Stand Against Nollywood Mediocrity, Leaves Nollywood Temporarily
Nollywood actor and screen heartthrob, Emeka Ike has taken a stand against what he terms the state of the Nigerian movie industry. He said he would quit Nollywood temporarily until something is done about the state of affairs of the industry. In an exclusive interview with an encomium reporter on Sunday 22 July 2012, he stated that he has withdrawn all films directly related to him from the market. He stated that he would e working under the platform of . According to him, this move was a strategic move to distance himself and what he stands for from the decay of the Nigerian movie industry. He says he would like to be dealt with independent of Nollywood.
