4 party partisans arrested for vandalising opposition’s billboards

Four APC volunteers were arrested in Enugu after they were allegedly caught destroying the billboard of the candidate of the PDP.

Four men said to be members of the All Progressive Congress, APC, have been arrested by men of the Enugu State Police for destroying billboards belonging to an opposition party.

The four suspects were arrested by men of the New Haven Divisional Police Station on the night of Thursday, January 29 while destroying billboards and other advertising outdoor signs of the Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate, Honourable Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.

According to , the ACP gubernatorial candidate of the state, Barrister Okey Ezea, sought the release of the suspects but the Divisional Police Officer of the station denied the request, insisting that the case would be investigated properly.

The suspects were said to have vandalised billboards and posters of the candidate of the opposition party PDP.

Police sources also told Daily Post that the suspects would soon be charged to court.
