We’ve hoped in our hearts for this one, and it’s here. Finally. OJB Jezreel will be saved. He’s to receive the $100,000 needed to change his ailing kidneys by way of a transplant. Relief? Excitement? Gratitude? Well, it’s all at once.
Late last night, the news went viral, that the Governor of Rivers State,Rotimi Amaechi has approved for the full sum of $100,000 Dollars needed for OJB Jezreel’s kidney transplant operation to be given to him come Friday.
And we’ve got confirmation…
Nomoreloss, the head of the #SaveOJBJezreel campaign revealed the thrilling news. Speaking to Nigerian Entertainment Today,
He said, ‘Officials of the government reached out to us this evening, (Wednesday, June 3) promising to donate a $100,000. The presentation, they say, will be made on Friday (June 5). We are indeed grateful to the Governor and the people of Rivers State. Now we can finally have that surgical procedure’.
The singer further thanked Nigerians for their support. ‘We also appreciate the kind hearts of Nigerians who have made donations and those that supported us with prayers. May God bless them all’.
He also expressed uncertainty over the location of the hospital where the surgical procedure will take place. «We had a place in mind initially, but recently, there’s been several suggestions from some quarters on better options. We would be having a meeting by the weekend with all concerned parties to decide which of the options is best.’,
And about the donor, the singer has revealed that the identity will be kept undisclosed. »The donor is a family member, but for some reason, we do not wish to disclose the identity. All that matters is for him to have a successful operation’. Nomoreloss said.
