An ex-wife to a pastor with the Mountain of Fire Ministries, has lend her voice to the campaign against domestic violence while claiming she was a victim for 17-years.
“I was abused by my husband for 17-yrs,” MFM pastor’s wife speaks
Abiose disclosed that she endured the domestic abuse for a total of 17 years with the hope that her clergy-hubby would change.
Identified as Abiose Comfort, this survivor of domestic violence shared her story of how she was beaten by her husband, who was identified as Pastor Tunde Tolulope Ajayi of MFM Ajala Zonal region, Alagbado, Lagos.
Biose, who had shared her story first on Facebook on September 30, 2015, recounted her ordeal in the hands of her hubby at the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Response team (DSVRT), Gender based violence symposium, which held on Tuesday, October 20, 2015.
She also revealed that family members encouraged her to endure and pray for him to change while the church members insisted that she should continue to pray for him to change until she could no longer hold it.
“Nigerians safe me from my former husband, pastor Tunde Tolulope Ajayi of Mountain of Fire & Miracle Ministeries (MFM), Ajala Zonal region. He beat me up blue and black today at Adura bus stop area of Alagbado, Lagos. He stole my money, N17,000.00, phone and other valuable belongings,” she wrote on her facebook page on September 30, 2015 at exactly 8:45pm.
Abiose’s path crossed with Esther Ijewere Kalejaiye, an activist who has been leading the campaign against Violence Against Women.
