The victim collapsed in a shopping centre, and her seizure lasted for around 20 minutes.

But while worried passers by did their best to help, one crook used it as an opportunity to steal £60 from the woman’s handbag.

West Midlands Police say CCTV from the Ryemarket Shopping Centre in Stourbridge shows a woman moving the victim’s shopping trolley.

Detective Inspector Nigel Smith said: ‘It’s a truly despicable crime.

‘The lady is clearly in great distress on the floor and, while most people’s immediate concern is for her well-being, one person sees it as an opportunity to steal from her.’

The woman made a full recovery, but soon realised her money had been stolen.

It happened on the afternoon of Tuesday, April 7.
