A popular society lady has been arrested in Delta State for being behind a child trafficking ring.
The lady, Abigail Nwakama, popularly called Madam Cash, is said to be very popular at clubs and society events in the state but her nemesis came with the arrest of a popular radio preacher and founder of Gospel Fire Army Ministry, Nkwele-Ogidi, Anambra State, Chinedu Strongson, who was arrested following a tip-off and 12 children were rescued from him.
In his confession to the police, Pastor Strongson confessed that he paid N400,000 for each child whom he got from Nwakama.
According to reports, Nwakama stole a one-year-old girl, identified as Fatimah Yahaya, from her mother after paying her mother N3,000, before selling the toddler to Strongson.
The parents of the girl allegedly alerted the Delta State Police Command and a manhunt was launched for the culprits, resulting in the arrest of the 48-year-old pastor who led the police to Nwakama.
