With the Christmas season and New Year festivities are on their way, it seems like Santa has already started punishing the people who were ‘Bad’ in the year. Call it Karma or fate, a thief who stole the jar full of tips containing $6.77 forgets to take his ordered food for which he paid $9.82.

With the Christmas season and New Year festivities are on their way, it seems like Santa has already started punishing the people who were ‘Bad’ in the year.
This hilarious revelation was made by made the owner of a local restaurant of the beautiful Island Nation, New Zealand. The restaurant is located in Christchurch and the name of the eatery is Nando’s Riccarton and is owned by Yatten Lallu
The security footage that was posted on the social networking site Facebook, shows that a man putting the tip jar which had $6.77 or 10 New Zealand dollars in his bag. The suspect was apprehended by the owner after the empty jar was discovered in the restroom immediately after the suspect spend some time in there.
According to reports the suspect had been in the restaurant a couple of times earlier and studied the restaurant properly before deciding on his evil intentions. The owner said, “I said to him there’s our tip jar” and he said, “It wasn’t me, it must have been someone else”. I said, “are you sure: Are you telling the truth? And he told me to check his bag and check the security cameras and I stared to doubt myself.”
Immediately after the conversation with the owner the man fled while the security footage was being reviewed. Yatten said, “The man’s crime didn’t turn any profit. He had already paid $9.82 or 14.50 New Zealand dollars for his meal which he ordered but left without taking it. So it wasn’t worth it, he had a bad day. It was not good karma for the poor bloke.”
The police are investigating the matter and whether the CCTV footage that was taken was of the same man as described by the owner who said to have been in the restaurant previously. Last month there was another theft case in the Casa Dei Bambini preschool in Richmond and it’s suspected that it could have done by the same man.
