Music exec reportedly diagnosed with respiratory infection in police detention
According to reports, Audu Maikori was rushed to a medical centre with respiratory infection.
Linda Ikeji reports that the lawyer had problems breathing before he was rushed to the medical center. Audu Maikori has been diagnosed with respiratory infection. He is reportedly doing better today and is currently awaiting his arraignment.
Audu Maikori was re-arrested on March 10, 2017 barely 22 days after his first arrest on February 17, 2017, on charges relating to comments he made about the Southern Kaduna killings.
The activist and lawyer was rearrested two days after he collapsed at an event in Lagos and was subsequently rushed to St. Nicholas hospital.
The Chocolate City boss reportedly slumped after concluding a Q&A session with Ebony Life TV CEO, Mo Abudu and was later resuscitated by doctors at the event before he was taken to St. Nicholas Hospital on the Lagos Island.
Maikori was initially arrested for 'inciting violence' with his social media posts and was released a day later following pleas and interventions from social media.
