A man has been remanded in prison for murdering his friend during a fight.

A man murdered his friend with a pestle

One Francis Gabriel has been remanded in prison by a Chief Magistrates' Court sitting in Akure, the Ondo State capital, for allegedly using a pestle to hit his friend, Henry Aliso, on the head during a fight, causing the death of the person.

The incident happened in Alade-Idanre in Idanre Local Government Area of the state on October 20, during a disagreement that ensued between them.

The police prosecutor,  Inspector Martins Olowofeso, told the court that the accused hit the deceased with pestle on the head thereby caused the deceased's death.
