The victim identified as Oriola Adegoke had according to reports, been found hanging from a rope tied to the ceiling in his apartment at no 45, Ayeyemi Street.

Mr Adegoke had been found by his daughter identified as Taye Adegoke, who had raised the alarm upon making the discovery.

The reports disclose that the residents of the area described the deceased as an easy-going gentleman, adding that his death was a mystery.

The residents also allege that Mr Adegoke may have taken his own life due to the large amount of money he had spent in recent times while trying to treat his daughter of a protracted illness.

It has been reported that as soon as the body was found, traditional worshippers had been sent for to perform some rites before the corpse can be removed and prepared for the burial, in line with the culture of the land.
