This tomato tuna is a sushi alternative

Though it looks like the real thing, this 'tuna' sushi is not fish. It's made of Roma tomatoes, which is believed to taste and feel like raw tuna.

There is also no fish flavouring added to the tomato, rather it is marinated in soy sauce, sugar, water and sesame oil.

The delicacy had been in the works for some years, and Manhattan’s Fresh & Co locations are the first to have this vegan tuna on their menus.
