When handling fruits and vegetables, one must do it as fast as possible so as not to expose them to bacteria and germs.
One must also make sure that all the surfaces they come in contact with are clean and germ-free. Here are three ways to handle fruits and vegetables easily:
1. Remove seeds easily:
If you want to remove the seeds from pawpaws or cucumbers, use an ice cream scoop. The sharp edges would easily scrape out the seeds.
If you don't have an ice cream scoop, you can use a rounded spoon although the edges would not be as sharp.
2. Juicing citrus fruits completely:
To squeeze out the last drops out of an orange, lime, lemon, first leave the fruit in the fridge to cool.
Then pop it in the microwave for about 15 seconds. The juice will squeeze out easily and no drops will be wasted.
3. Peeling citrus fruits easily:
Peeling oranges, lemons or tangerines can be a chore. To peel them easily, simply leave them in a microwave for 20 seconds, this makes it easier to separate the fruits from their skins.
