Peeling beans can be done perfectly with the hands

Peeling beans to make other foods - moinmoin, akara and more- is not easy for a lot of people and this is because they've been doing it wrong!

To make any form of bean cake, soups and more beans are supposed to be peeled/de-skinned to remove the outer part leaving it clean (when properly clean/peeled/de-skinned, the beans will be white)

For a lot of people who struggle with peeling beans perfectly, it should be noted that it's best to soak in water for about five minutes to get a little soft but not for too long to make it soggy.

Afterwards use your hands to rub beans against each other to get rid of the skin, do this continuously then wash out skin using a sieve as barrier...
