Have you ever put together a great write-up, ready for the world to digest but you just couldn’t get the world to click on your content?
Headers are key in the ‘click decision making process’ and this is usually made in about two seconds.

1. Think Numbers:
Right now, you may be probably thinking ‘is that it?’, but using numbers in headers has been observed by seasoned marketing professionals to be highly effective.
Using numbers ensures the header is more descriptive and straight to the point e.g. ‘Top 5 ways to lose belly fat.’ Apart from being descriptive, numbers also gain credibility for the post/Ad as top 5 signifies that only the best 5 ways have been put together for the target audience.
Most people can’t stand being in the dark, they always want to know. Creating a mystery around content works very well when you give your audience enough to want more. Stimulating your visitors’ curiosity is a powerful tool to increase your CTR because it compels visitors to investigate further. Example- “This one marketing method shot our conversion rate off the roof!”
People only want to click on valuable content, so always ask; how will people benefit from this? First, state the reader’s problem, then state the possible result, once it’s solved. For example; “Not Enough Email Subscribers? These Time-Tested Strategies Will Double Your Sign-ups in 2 Months".
This one is a little bit obvious. People love convenience so when you make your header as easy as possible there are more chances for clicks. Remember to keep it easy to read, simple and free of unnecessary clutter.
Using this mix heightens the chances of increasing your post clicks, remember to make a checklist of these to ensure the quality of your header before putting it out.
