Hedi Slimane steps down as luxury brand's creative director
Hedi Slimane is leaving his role as the creative director of Saint Laurent after a four year stint, set to be replaced by Belgian designer Anthony Vaccarello of Versus Versace brand!
The French designer who is famous for the name change/drop of the brand (from Yves Saint Laurent to Saint Laurent) s well as creating rock and roll designs for the brand - he also took over the campaign the entire time he spent there.
He released his final couture line collection (Palladium collection ) for Saint Laurent during the Paris Fashion Week. The designer was applauded for infusing daring/bold ideas into pushing the brand.
“What has achieved over the past four years represents a unique chapter in the history of the house, I am very grateful to , and the whole team, for having set the path that the house has successfully embraced, and which will grant longevity to this legendary brand.” François-Henri Pinault, chairman and chief executive officer of Kering, revealed in a statement via WWD.
Fingers crossed in expectation of what awaits Saint Laurent with a new creative head.
