"They wore the most dainty shift dresses, yet they were able to inform my childhood  and command respect from me" For Fall 2017, Omon Isinugben; designer and creative director at Belois revealed she "was majorly inspired by her childhood days in primary school and some of her teachers who she remembers as having had a stately elegance about them.

Omon Isinugben "re-imagines what primary school teachers dressed like back-in-the-day with a modern twist for her next season woman. The collection is characterized by satin, chiffon, crepe and organza in clean lines, earth and warm tones with a lot of pleating and layering as well as flares and volume for exaggerated silhouettes"; the brand stated in a note accompanying the collection.

Belois is a 2-time Lagos Fashion and Design Week alumni who first showed at the Pan-African fashion week as a British Council X LFDW Fashion Focus finalist. The brand has since gone on to position itself as a burgeoning contemporary womenswear brand that continues to shift the paradigm of how contemporary African women dress.  Belois Couture opened the Heineken Lagos Fashion & Design Week's Spring/Summer 2016 show.
