Moschino creative director sued over Katy Perry's Met Gala dress

Jeremy Scott and Moschino have been sued by popular grafitti designer!

American designer Jeremy Scott has been sued for allegedly ripping off the works of another artist.

Popular graffiti artist Joseph Tierney also known as Rime has sued the eclectic designer accusing him of using one of his street murals in one of the looks from his Fall 2015 collection.

In the lawsuit, Rime accused Jeremy Scott and Moschino of using one of his artworks and according to the court documents via Jezebel.com below:

"Defendants paid Ms. Perry to advertise and display the clothing at the Gala. Not only did Ms. Perry and defendant Scott advertise, wear, and display the clothing at the event, they arrived at the event in a spray painted Rolls Royce, and even carried around Moschino branded cans of fake spray paint during the event, as if defendants were responsible for the artwork".

Katy Perry chose the look at the 2015 Met Gala with Madonna and the designer by her side. and model Gigi Hadid debuted the dress on the runway at Milan Fashion Week.

According to Time, the original graffiti art features the word “vandal” and a pair of menacing eyes, which he accuses looks too similar to what’s on the bottom of Scott's dress.

Scott had been previously sued by Santa Cruz Skateboards where the case was settled out of court.
