The annual event set to hold at the National Arts Theater in Lagos  for the first time on the 3rd and 4th June 2017 with a theme;  ‘Celebrating the Vibrant Pulse of Africa'.

The 2017 edition is staying true to African roots while showcasing Africa's rich cultural heritage.

The "long term growth of the fashion industry is grounded on developing initiatives to ensure that the Nigeria remains the centre of fashion and a leader at the forefront of creativity, style, and innovation which is why the best of Africa’s emerging and established fashion talents will be showcasing at this historic monument to reflect the dynamism of African fashion and a reflection of our roots" founder of AFWNRonke Ademiluyi shares about the event.

"Africa Fashion Week Nigeria (AFWN) 2017 is unleashing the power of Africa. This year, 50 Iconic locations showcasing the rich cultural heritage in Nigeria will be visited. Pre-shows including photoshoots, catwalk shows and video shoots will all culminate at a grand event in May, 2017 in conjunction with Lagos State Government" the brand revealed in a statement.
