After various events targeted at startups such as Social Media Week, Mobile West Africa, and Demo Africa, the Lagos start up week kicked off yesterday 27 July, 2015 at the Oriental hotel, Victoria Island Lagos.

Lagos StartupWeek a five-day celebration of entrepreneurs and small business owners in Lagos made up of various sessions, Keynotes, Panels and Meetups kicks off.
The five-day celebration of entrepreneurs and small business owners with various sessions, Keynotes, Panels and Meetups opened day 1 with the keynote speakers including, Nigerian politician and member of the Nigeria Federal House of Representatives representing Ikorodu Constituency in Lagos State; Abike Dabiri, NIelsen West Africa President; Lampe Omoleye, Head of Pulse.ng; Rich Tanskley, andRegional Manager at Seedstars World SA; Macello Schermer.
The keynote speaker shared their experiences and encouraged the young entrepreneurs to stay focused and be ready to face challenges. After which a four man Panelist including, Rich Tanskley, Mark Essien, Benjamin Benaim and Lampe Omoleye had an interactive section with the young entrepreneurs at the event.
Over the Course of 5 days, organizers are expecting a crowd of over 1,000 Entrepreneurs and small business owners to participate in this year’s event consisting of panel discussions, workshops, pitches (for entrepreneurs seeking funding), alongside Several networking opportunities.
