The Davido and Mafikizolo Video Launch Party

At Dollhouse, Victoria Island on Wednesday night two super acts in Africa, Davido and Mafikizolo were present to premiere their new music video ‘Tchelete (Good life)’ ’to the world.

Nigerian artist and singer of the hit tune ‘Aye’ Davido, made a grand entrance into the venue with his black Mercedes G-wagon and stepped out dressed in an all black ensemble adorned with gold bling which he said cost “millions baby”. His entourage included B-red, his hypeman Special Ed and his body guarded armed with guns. The Mafikizolo team popular for hit track ‘Khona’ came dressed to impress as well. The female member Nhlanhla Nciza stunned in a gold sequined figure hugging dress and her co-artist Theo Kgosinkwe in a navy blue suit.

The event was well attended, everyone who is any one in the entertainment industry was present, DJ Jimmy Jatt, DJ Neptune, DJ Exclusive, DJ Caise of BeatFM. MTN ambassadors Kcee, Chidinma, Praiz were also present. other celebrities present Orezi,Dammy Krane,Tiwa Savage, Vector, Ice Prince, Iyanya, M.I, Solid Star, Olisa of RhythmFm, Oritse Femi, Adunni Ade,Ill Bliss, Clarence Peters, May D Sean Tizzle and many more.

Davido and South African act Mafikizolo performed their new hit together after which virtually all artists who were present performed for the guests, most memorable of all being Timaya and Ghanaian singer Becca dancing to his raunchy song ‘Ukwu’.

MTN being a major sponsor of the event explained the ‘Yellow and Black’ carpet, a deviation from the signature red carpet on which several VJ’s interviewed celebrities on. VJ’s of note on the yellow and black carpet were Joan of PulseTV; Adams VJ, Moet and Pearl of SoundCity, Denrele, Vina, Yvonne of Silverbird and Stephanie Coker. During the event, the club;Dollhouse provided guests with food as MTN unveiled Dr Sid, Timaya, Sound Sultan, Sean Tizzle and Becca as its newest ambassadors.

Other videos premiered at the show were Mercy by Praiz, Oh baby ( you & I) by Chidinma and Flavour, Tiwa Savage’s Wanted video and also More by Becca and Uhuru.
