Elumelu is no stranger to the promotion of entrepreneurs – his foundation launched a $100 million entrepreneurship program recently, which aims to help in growing 10,000 start-up companies across Africa over the next ten years.
The event at the White House will bring established and emerging entrepreneurs together from all over the world to benefit from the support and commitment of investors, governments, private foundations, and individuals.
Other speakers at the event include Mark Cuban, owner of the Dallas Mavericks; Barbara Corcoran, Founder of Barbara Corcoran Venture Partners; Daymond John, CEO and Founder of FUBU; all the investors on the ABC hit show Shark Tank; Antonio Gracias, Founder of Valor Equity Partners, and Julie Hanna, Founder of Kiva. Elumelu is the only non-American speaker at the event.
