You have to develop the skills to be an effective boss.

In every office or organization, there is a boss. But what does it take to be one?

According to various experts, there are certain traits that a person must possess as a boss and until you develop these traits, you can never be successful at being a boss.

If you really want to be an effective boss, then you have to cultivate the following traits:

Have a vision and communicate it: Unless you know what you want, how to get it, and know how to articulate that to others, you cannot be serious about being a boss. Once you have your vision and can communicate it, you have to find a way to get people on board with that vision.

Team building skills are needed: To build and maintain a relevant team, you need to be able to identify what skills and types of characters needed to make your team top-notch. You should be able to keep an eye out for talent.

Have heart, self-awareness, and belief: When building a team, consider your weaknesses and make sure you have people who are strong in the areas you aren't. Show passion for what you're trying to achieve.

Humor: There will be bumps on the road and being able to see the funny side of things can help get you over them. Growing a business, or your network, requires making friends, something humor will help with.

Be humble: Never forget that there is always room for improvement and there are many people who can improve what you are doing - including people from your team.
