Do You Think Emergency Rule Imposed In The North-East Has Failed?

A year ago, President Goodluck Jonathan, in a bid to find a lasting solution to the growing security concerns especially in the north eastern parts of the country, imposed a 6-months emergency rule in Adamawa, Borno and Yobe States, which seemed to be the worst affected areas.

After the expiration of the initial period, he added another 6-months period since the intensity had been growing. But even with the state of emergency imposed in the states, the Boko Haram activities has not ceased but instead, they have grown in leaps and bounds, spreading to other states that were initially not on the list.

This has drawn comments that the emergency rule may have failed to achieve its desired results.
