JAMB tells candidates to protect or keep their properties at home

JAMB official in Lagos advised the candidates when one of them gave his phone to a man he thought was a staff member of the CBT centre.

An official of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board has on Saturday, March 10, cautioned

JAMB official, Bukky Ojuade, who invigilated a CBT centre, at the New Ocean Comprehensive High School, Ayobo, Lagos gave the warning after a candidate lost his phone.

Ojuade said the candidate who lost his phone complained that he could not recognise the person he gave his phone to before the screening began

He said, “The candidate gave his phone to someone at the gate because he thought the man was a staff of the school.

“After the examination, he couldn’t find the man and couldn’t even recognise him,”

“My best advice is that they should keep their properties at home or where it can be monitored by the officials, otherwise they will be accountable to whatever happens”

Candidates advised to get to CBT centre early

Moreover, Ojuade advised candidates to arrive early to their examination centres adding that no opportunity would be given to candidates who miss their scheduled time.

The 2018 UTME started on Friday, March 9, and will end on Saturday, March 17.
