"Avatar" actress welcomes twins

Zoe Saldana has given birth to twins!

The 'Avatar' star had her children on Monday December 8 in a Los Angeles hospital few weeks after she was spotted flaunting her huge bump at a Hollywood event.

The twins – whose genders are yet to be confirmed – are Zoe's first kids with husband and artist Marco Perego, 35.

"Zoe and Marco are delighted, Zoe has been ready to drop for some time and they are both ecstatic to be meeting the twins,” a friend said. Adding that,

"This is a dream come true for both of them, they are absolutely delighted. They have been looking forward this day for the last nine months.... Both want a big family so this is the start."

In October Zoe showed off her bump when she was the cover star of the American Elle magazine.
