Vast was diagnosed with lymphoma (cancer of the blood cells) in 2013, he was flown to London to receive treatment and is now officially cancer free. Vast spoke to Encomium Weekly on January 13, 2015 and explained that his doctors advised that he come in for check ups every four months for the next 5 years just to make sure everything is okay.

His doctors instructed the cancer survivor to stay off sex for 5months and now the yori yori singer can now get laid since his cancer is all gone.

He explained that the reason he couldn't have sex was because if his sexual partner accidentally got pregnant, the child would most likely be an abnormal baby due to the nature of his illness.
