Actress starts new project for mothers

Nollywood actress Toyin Aimakhu, 31, has announced that she is embarking on a project to appreciate mothers.

The movie star has started a programme to celebrate mothers who gave their all to their kids. Toyin Aimakhu made this known on her Instagram page today (January 28).

Toyin Aimakhu was spurred to start this programme after she saw an emotionally moving picture of an NYSC member and his mum who sells fish in the market. The corps member was celebrating his mum’s sacrifice.

Toyin Aimakhu shared this picture on Instagram and wrote;

“Saw this on Facebook and brought tears to my eyes,a lot of us r not proud of our mothers,why?pls lets be proud of our mothers,my mum iya ular iya Laila can't speak English but she can speak in Tongues,she can't read or write but I wonder how she can read the bible,she didn't go to school but she has got great kids great graduates pls lets appreciate mothers..I'm thinking of starting a program abt mothers(glamming our mothers)I'm going to start from the beautiful adorable mother who sells ice fish and produced a graduate(crying I'm so emotional this morning)pls kindly tag the guy,I'm starting the glamming with her May God help us..pls kindly tag dis guy and pls repost we might get sponsors for the program,it's time to start celebrating real icons (OUR MOTHERS) #helookssomuchlikehismum”

She later shared the picture and asked for the details of the NYSC member in the picture.

“Pls we need to get intouch with this guy,we've started our project already I'm super happy..pls help get him.. #celebratingtherealiconsmothers pls we need more sponsors plsss and pls I need someone that can buy a deep freezer for this precious adorable mother,we can do this together.. #lovemyteam I'm gonna do mine aswell but I need ur help to celebrate our mothers together....Alot of pple will put pancake on their mum's face cos dey want to put it on ig or Facebook pls be real,MOTHERS ARE GOLDEN.”

This year Toyin Aimakhu relocated to the city of Ibadan from Lagos because she couldn't handle the stress of living in the mega city.
