Afrobeat act thanks Tinubu for bringing 'change' to Nigeria

Contrary to some media reports, Seun Kuti has yet to congratulate General Muhammadu Buhari over his victory at the polls.

Seun Anikulapo Kuti has thanked the APC chieftain Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu for ushering in a new era of change to Nigeria.

The Afrobeat act took to his Twitter account yesterday to express his vote of thanks to the influential APC politician. "I wan thank Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for bringing dis change, Aluta Continua" he tweeted on April 2, 2015.

Contrary to some media reports, Seun Kuti has yet to congratulate General Muhammadu Buhari over his victory at the polls.

The relationship between Buhari and the Kuti's is rocky to say the least. In 1984 the Buhari led regime sentenced Seun's father, the iconic creator of the Afrobeat genre to 5 years in prison.
