Pop star was in Nice during terror attack

Singer Rihanna was in Nice when the terror attack happened forcing her to cancel her concert.

Rihanna has just announced that the show will no longer hold due to obvious reasons. "Due to the tragic events in #Nice, my concert scheduled for tomorrow July 15 at Allianz Stadium will not be going ahead as planned.  Our thoughts are with the victims and their families" she announced on her Instagram page as she shared an image of a heart coloured in France's national colours.

According to celebrity site TMZ, there are plans to take Rihanna out of the city by her team.

On Thursday night (July 14) an attacker named Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlelkilled 84 people. He drove a heavy truck into a crowd at the Bastille Day fireworks in Nice.

The ugly incident has shocked the world with world leaders reacting to the mass killings. Celebrities all over have reacted to the Nice attack.

Top Nigerian actress Genevieve Nnaji wrote "Father into thy hands I commend their spirit. #prayforparis #prayforjustice" on her Instagram page.

Kris Jenner tweeted "Our prayers are with you. We must continue to spread love in the face of hate. ."

The Nice attack comes eight months after the November attacks in the city of Paris.
