Even though the 42-year-old fashion designer has tweeted that she is innocent of what is being said about her, the allegations and rumours are growing stronger and stronger.

Who is Rachel Roy and how did she become entangled in all of this mess?

Rachel Roy started as an intern years ago at Rocawear, a clothing line owned by Jay Z and his business partner Damon Dash. She spent several years there before establishing her own business.

Rachel Roy and Damon Dash started dating while at Rocawear and in 2005 they got married in Mexico. Their union produced two daughters- Tallulah, 7, and Ava, 16.

In 2009 Rachel Roy filed for divorce from Damon Dash and the pair went through a nasty battle over custody which lasted till 2015.

Now this is how Rachel Roy enters the Beyonce-Jay Z scene. In 2014 during the MET Gala Beyonce’s younger sister Solange attacked Jay Z in the elevator. Beyonce’s bodyguard restrained her but the pop star did nothing to stop her sister from attacking her husband.

It was rumoured that Solange attacked Jay Z because she found out that he was seeing Rachel Roy on the side. It was also said that Solange had an argument with Roy at the event before attacking Jay Z.

With the release of her new album ‘’ on April 23, 2016 Beyonce sprinkled a lot of lyrics about cheating and infidelity in the songs. The Beyhive ran with the musical lines and came up with the theory that Beyonce was airing out her husband as a cheat.

The Beyhive also fingered Rachel Roy as the woman who Beyonce was singing about on the album. The fashion designer did not help put out the fire when she captioned a photo of herself on Instagram which read “Good hair don't care. But we will take good lighting, for selfies, or self truths, always. Live in the light. #NoDramaQueens.” Roy later deleted the caption after the attention started getting too much. In the song 'Sorry', Beyonce sings, “He only want me when I’m not on there He better call Becky with the good hair.”

As a result of the scrutiny and rumours Rachel Roy has canceled a public event where she was supposed to show up at on Monday, April 25, 2016.

Jay Z has not made any public statement regarding the cheating lines on his wife’s album. The Beyhive has now moved on to Rita Ora who they suspect is Becky. The drama continues.
