Controversy trails Basketmouth's impending absence during elections

A couple of fans recently lashed out at the comedian for scheduling an event in london on February 14 when they expected him to stay back, and vote.

The February 14 General Elections is one of the biggest political events of the year 2015, in Nigeria. So far, it has generated a lot of controversies from many angles, one of which is the uproar of fans when the Nigerian comedian Basketmouth, posted a picture making it clear he would not be present on the day of the elections.

A lot of fans lashed out at the comedian for Posting the picture on his Instagram page on January 8, 2015, publicizing an event at the Apollo  in London,  where he would perform alongside musicians Olamide and Wizkid.

Some of them called him out for running away to London on a day when he should show his patriotism  by voting, while others defended him believing it had absolutely nothing to do with his patriotism.
