How the Kardashian family continues to make a fool of the media

Some how, The Kardashian family have managed to suck the joy out of this beautiful process, continually throwing surprises at us.

As a media personality, some drawn out stories quickly grow on you, making them beyond interesting to write, almost giving you a vested stake in the situation.

At first, we were hit with news of a relationship between Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna earlier this year, a notion that was preposterous to everyone who keeps up with the Kardashians.

Just when we were beginning to brace ourselves for the great falling out that we imagined would ensue between the rest of the Kardashian family and their only heir, momager, Kris Jennerconveniently hints at her gratitude to Blac for bringing Rob out of the reclusive nature he had adopted for the last two years.

Meanwhile, sworn enemies, Kim Kardashian and Blac's bff, Amber Rose, who have hated each other for as long as we can remember, suddenly find friendship after the mother-of-two decides to mature up and end the fued.

Yes, the resulting selfie broke the internet, and we almost saw Amber coming to Kim's defence after the backlash that followed her latest nude bathroom selfie, using the opportunity to invite her for slut walk.

Then there were the reports that Kim had shunned a selfie with Blac. We seemed back on track with the fueds, predicting a bloody end for everyone involved.

April 5, 2016, will never be forgotten as it was the day Rob shocked us all with a stunning proposal to Blac, complete with a seven carat diamond ring after barely two months of dating.

At this point the media was giddy with excitement. Even though we had not seen an engagement in the works, we could have predicted the war that would follow that epic proposal.

Of course, the Kardashians kept mum about the whole thing, talking about everything, including their ski trip to Vali Colorado, but Rob's engagement.

Rob's revelation that his family was actually happy for him and Blac was laughable, fueled by Blac's mum, Tokyo Toni's continuous rants about how the Kardashians have been banned from the upcoming nuptials.

We have waited with batted breaths for the explosion that we were sure would follow in their official statements, but no, that was never to happen.

Imagine our shock this morning, when Kylie Jenner hinted at the fact that she has been friends with Blac all along, buttressing the point with a selfie shared with the same model we have all sympathised with.

Our shock was made worse, considering that fact that, only recently, New York Bestselling author, Ian Halperin, had revealed that Kylie had been responsible for her boyfriend, Tyga's split from Blac, back in 2014.

At this point, we just have to ask. Have the Kardashians been stringing us along all this while? Just how much have we contributed to the fortune they have made off the drama that makes up their reality TV show, 'Keeping up with The Kardashians'?

Apparently, The Kardashians have always known what they wanted, been a step ahead of us, all along!
