Music legend 'Thriller' becomes first ever to sell 30m copies

Micheal's hit album, 'Thriller' has now become the first album to ever sell 30m copies, getting a certification of 30x multi-platinum.

Michael Jackson is decidedly one of the biggest musical legends the world has ever seen, but the fact that he is still a legend even in death is definitely a hard feat to achieve.

The legend has now added a new record to the long list, especially since this achievement comes years after his death.

The late singer's newest achievement from beyond the grave was announced by the Recording Industry Association of America and the music legend's estate on Wednesday.

The new 30x certification proves that the late King of Pop's iconic 1982 album has actually sold 30 million copies in the United States even after his death.

It also means that a 100 million copies of the album have been sold worldwide.

According to reports, Micheal is also the highest earning celebrity in dead, turning over a staggering $1 billion since he passed away.
