Rapper knocks out Eminem as best hip-hop act in America

Iggy Azalea is 2014's Most Favourite Rap/Hip-Hop Artist and has the Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Album, according to the 2014 America Music Awards (AMA).

The Australian emcee beat rivals Eminem and Drake to take home the gongs and then respectfully mentioned the '8 Mile' star in her emotional speech despite him threatening to violently rape her in his new song last week.

In his newly leaked track Vegas, Eminem threatened to drag Iggy by his Humvee and rape her but Iggy didn't think about that when she said: 'It just means so much that I can stand here against Eminem and Drake and come out with this, it's amazing,' while accepting the title for Favorite Album alongside her manager T.I.

However, the 'Fancy' crooner had previously addressed the Eminem threat when she tweeted last Thursday: “I'm bored of the old men threatening young women as entertainment trend and much more interested in the young women getting $ trend. zzzz.”

Another tweet said: “It's especially awkward because my 14-year-old brother is the biggest Eminem fan and now the artist he admired says he wants to rape me. nice!”Iggy also wowed her fans in an eratic performance with singer Jennifer Lopez on the song “Booty Remix” before appearing in a leopard-skin outfit for her “Fancy” performance.
